Diss weak en Muzak

The Notwist: 'Different Cars and Trains' and 'Neon Golden' - sounds very much like Junior Boys or vice versa. 'DCT' has a great remix of "This Room" from Four Tet and Manitoba (Caribou).

The Exposures 'Lost Recordings 2000-2004' - on EastDev which is Scott Herren's(Prefuse 73) label. Great abstract german beats. I got this one from the Beta Lounge record club.

Stewart Walker 'Grounded in Existence' - a downtempo collection of songs. It strays away from his minimal house/techno stuff. Somewhat reminciscent of the songs he did with Theorem on Minus.

Venetian Snares 'Winnipeg Is A Frozen Shithole' - I don;t know if it's true, but with the amount of drill-in-your-head beats on this EP, I would think that Aaron Funk thinks pretty strongly about this province? of Canada. Insane stuff, as usual. Look up some of the great titles on this EP.

F.U.S.E. - 'Train Tracs' - A 7 track single off of Wax Trax from the 1993 LP release of "Dimension Intrusion". Richie Hawtin, the GOD of minimal beats. menacing.

Portishead 'Glory Times' - A 10 year old, 2 cd collection of Sour Times and Glory Box mixes. Some great mixes that still sound fresh today. New Album, please.

Beastie Boys 'Sure Shot EP' - 3 great mixes of "Sure Shot". I was never into collecting singles, but Bjork, Radiohead and Beastie mixes are always a bit away from the boring NERD type mix.

Grant Lee Buffalo - Storm Hymnal:Gems From the Vault of: - I got this 2 cd collection, the first one being the so-called hits and the second one being b-sides and alternate versions, for the second cd. What a great band and songwriter. I was first introduced to them when they opened up for Paul Westerberg on his first solo tour at Philly's Chestnut Cabaret in 1990-91? . A great fake ID. Grant Lee-Phillips came out with a huge acoustic guitar and with the other 2 members preceded to rawk out as The Replacements once did. Truly, one of the great American bands of all-time.
