A Manifesto

Last night @ Great American Music Hall, the best music venue in San Francisco, Meat Beat Manifesto showed why they are the godfathers of harder breaks. I felt as if I was at a recent warehouse party with breaks being the soup du jour right now in SF. Jack Dangers, Mare-Inn county native had 2 screens for visuals that covered the gamut from Sly Stone, Dumb-W, Bruce Lee to the Excorcist. I haven;t seen such well integrated visuals since the Coldcut show @Bimbos a few years back. It was funny to hear the type of music being played last night when I hear that genre of music everywhere now, but these guys did it 15 years ago and it still sounds fresh.
