Burning Down The House - The Arcade Fire
Maybe I sound like a broken record these days, but I think that I have been lucky enough to see some incredible shows as of late. And tonight was no exception. Tonight, at the Warfield SuperFlav scored front row-center-balcony tickets for Arcade Fire. The best seats in the house. And I could never have asked for a better show for those seats. It was an experience that was on the brink of chaos, throw in some performance art as well as musical chairs by most of the 9 piece band and it was beyond awe inspiring. The lead singer and a few of the other band members even continued the show outside in front of the Warfield for a few minutes. The only band that I can even compare them to is the Talking Heads. I felt as though I had reservations at a restaurant tonight that had been open for close to 2 years now and in the past year there has been so much hype with every major publication fawning over the food. Well, it was like having 9 ingredients blended together for the entree that tasted familiar, but was still completely different than anything else you have tasted before. And it even went beyond the hype and all of the expectations. A unique and special group of musicians that put on a true show this evening.
