Sinister Villains Galore

Danger Doom - The Mouse and the Mask - Holy Calamity. What a good album. The smoothness of MF Doom over the quirky cartoon beats of Danger Mouse. Screw the Gorillaz, this is the stuff that will make you see real animated life.

Audion - Suckfish - A great album of new tunes as well as the Spectral released singles from Matthew Dear. One of the best minimal techno producers out there either under the alias of False, Audion or under his proper name. Subtle, incredible low end and always moving.

Venetian Snares - Meathole - Back to the wack-you-in-the-head drub and bass. Scary, yet soothing music to make your teeth chatter.

Calexico & Iron and Wine - In The Reins - A great combo. Sam Sneith seems to sound better with a band either on his Woman King EP, or here with Calexico. Gentle, yet powerful songwriting. There's a closeness to the voice as if the music and voice are being played in your head.

Sigur Ros - Takk... - Another haunting collection of songs in whatever language they sing in from these not-so distant aliens.

Koushik - In The Middle of the Night - A mix cd from the show. Some R&B and beats mixed into the stew.

Jamie Lidell - Multiply Mixes - A Hot Chip and Gonzalez mix that features a minor key variation with piano and crowd noise.
