Buggin' Out Buggin' Out

last night, i travelled across the bay to check out a tribe called quest at the berkeley community theater. low end theory is one of my favorite records although i was a bit hesitant to check out another reunion tour and after a long delay, they came out for an uninspired show. they were on some video game tour and it felt like a cash-in show/tour. i was expecting budweiser adverts everywhere and the chemical bores to make an appearance. i guess these guys are my version of the rolling stones. i think hip hop shows are lame. except for people like beans and dabrye, there is no show. it's boring. it's a bunch of people including the audience posturing and gesturing about whatever excuse they have for angst. mf doom is a great mc, but that show at the independent awhile back where he came out for maybe 30 minutes was typical. note to self - avoid hip hop shows. the albums are always better than the so-called show.

here's some rare remixes from a group that once seemed imortant.

A Tribe Called Quest - Electric Relaxation (Propellerheads Remix)

A Tribe Called Quest - Description Of A Fool (Groove Armada's Acoustic Remix)

A Tribe Called Quest - Stressed Out feat Björk (Björk's Married To The Mob Mix)

these are great tracks! Anyway you could re-up them. The YSI limit is maxed.

I could not agree with you more on that sentiment about hip hop shows. It's always been my excuse to beg off those shows in that they're nothing more than overglorified karaoke! Another thing, "Low End Theory" was probably the greatest hip hop record to've come out in the early 90's.

Speaking of "Low End", I bet you'll appreciate this: I don't know if they're still in stock, but go to digitalgravel.com and check out "Industry Rule #4080".

Thanks for the heads-up on these tracks, dude. You're already fastly ranking as one of the greatest . . .

Oh, could you please re-upp the propellerheads remix. I've searched everywhere for that track and now I'm so near. Thanks in advance.
