MC Supersized & Jeff Buckley Rarities

MC Supersized, Ron English

While searching for a birthday gift, I came across the toys pictured above. What a find. When these figures were released a few years back, I couldn't get one, and now that these miniature ones have been released, I had to get one. Ahh, Ronnie never looked so good. What a happy-meal-warming commentary on our society.

-------------------------------------

A friend of mine calls me a "digger". No, not the digging which usually occurs when a crusty one gets stuck up in the nasal passages, but digging in terms of music. I search online, and I still go to record stores to search for that one rarity on that awful soundtrack released 10 years ago. With Buckley's single true album release, there's not much to dig for in the stores. Most of the treasures are online, in the form of live appearances which was the best representation of his musical abilities. The ability to improvise. There will be another post in the next week or 2 with some Buckley covers, along with the original versions. Enjoy.

Jeff Buckley - Bluebird Blues (Live, Blues)

Jeff Buckley - Whiteman Trouble (Blues, Live) - buckley is on the drums and vocals on this track.

Jeff Buckley - Lover, You Should've Come Over (WXRK, Acoustic) - from the A Voice to Hold In The Dark release.

Jeff Buckley - Morning Theft (Live) - from the solo show at the Knitting Factory in NYC 2/4/97. this show is a few months before his death, and worth seeking out as well.

-----------------------------------------------

Next to the Sin-e' sessions, this SOLO live set is the best representation of Jeff Buckley, as a singer, a guitar player, a comedian and a unique artist......

This was a good live set... The Crowd kinda sucked sometimes... You know not cheering all all but his singing was amazing.

One of my personal favorite performance was "post-grace"... the unofficial release of "live at the bataclan" which was a double disk.

Awesome. Thanks.
